Details:
The MFC-2 mass flow control electronics unit provides the precise supply and control voltages required to power and control industry-standard mass flow control valves and mass flow meters.
Accurate flow control is vital in applications such as respirometry, process control or gas mixing. Conventional flow meters and control valves are temperature- and pressure-dependent, making them unsuitable for critical work. In contrast, temperature and pressure do not affect mass flow control valves, which deliver a closely-regulated output continuously corrected to STP.
The compact MFC-2 mass flow control electronics unit runs on uncritical 9 - 18VDC (adapter supplied with unit). It is outstandingly accurate and will not contribute significant error to any mass flow control system. All of the instrument's functions are accessed via high quality rotary encoders. We have paid particular attention to making their operation as intuitive and flexible as possible. The MFC-2 is extremely easy to operate. All adjustments and settings are permanently retained in the absence of power.
The two line alphanumeric display shows the set and read values for both attached mass flow control valves or meters, simultaneously. Two analog outputs allow the flow rates of attached mass flow controllers and mass flow meters to be read by data acquisition systems. A serial output allows the setpoints and readings to be logged, and can also be used to control the unit.
The MFC-2 mass flow control electronics unit has many uses in any laboratory or R&D environment in which research-grade control of gas flow rates is required.
