The PTC-1 is our basic Peltier-effect temperature cabinet, available in large and small sizes, the PTC-1-8 and the PTC-1-30. These temperature-controllable cabinets are light-weight, reliable and surprisingly inexpensive, thanks to our selective re-engineering of existing technology and products. With internal volumes of approximately 8 and 30 liters (30 liter cabinet shown in figure), our PTC-1 cabinets are suitable for a wide variety of biological and other applications over a range of approximately 5 - 60°C. A PTC-1 cabinet forms a standalone temperature control system with our PELT-5 controller. In conjunction with a suitable data acquisition system such as ExpeData, a PTC-1 cabinet and a PELT-5 controller form a complete computerized temperature control system that can be used for automated temperature ramping, creation in the laboratory of field temperature profiles, automated production of metabolism vs. temperature curves, product testing, calibration, incubation, fermentation, materials testing and other applications limited only by your imagination.
